With distinct 11 geographical regions, outdoor activities will never
disappoint the residents of the “sooner state”. Bartlesville is a small
town about 45 minutes away from Tulsa and offers a comfortable, quiet,
and affordable living for retirees. The cost of living is below average
and the average house costs about $120,000 with some of the lowest
property taxes in the country. The weather is also fairly on the higher
side during the winter. There are also two community colleges in the
town and the crime rates for both violent and property crimes are way
below the national average. Oklahoma is rich with Native American
culture in general; it houses more Native American tribes than any other
state – about 50 tribes.
Con: Nearest city is about an hour away.
